This is  the first in a series of time-based works that explores traditional ideas of landscape through time-based painting This work is based on romantic conceptions of landscape as seen in the Pre-Raphaelite paintings and those of Maxfield Parish. Compositionally a classic statue is used as a reference point for location, symbolic narrative and a marker of temporality.
