In the summer of 2005 was asked to participate in the festival, “Art Stays 4,” in Ptuj, SLovenia. The idea behind the festival is simple, individual or collectives of artists are asked to come and make work(s) on site that will then be exhibited at the festivals end. All the artists live and work together for one to two weeks in the lovely village or Ptuj. I arrived and conceived, created and installed, “En Passant Ptuj,” in five days. The idea was based on the many passage ways that cut through the village . I saw this a metaphor for being an “outsider,” experiencing the culture.
