The Maine Center for Creativity has received permission from FPL Energy to project  new media art images onto the front wall of the Cousins Island Power Plant.  This arts and industry event, called "Light House", is a collaborative community project, meant to bring attention to the importance of new media arts and the growth of creative industries in Maine.  The town of Yarmouth,  the town of Falmouth,  FPL Energy,  WCLZ radio 98.9FM and the volunteers of the Maine Center for Creativity have worked  together to share this new generation of art with the public.


The event took place on Sunday, August 26 from 8:00 –9:00 p.m, artist, Raphael DiLuzio, created intriguing video images, best described as "video paintings" which will be projected by  a 12,000 lumens projector and stand approximately 63 feet wide by 36 feet high on the front side of the Cousins Island Power Plant.  The work was viewed from land and  from boats.  The whole experienced was enhanced by WCLZ 98.9FM broadcast of an original score by Arts in Motion of Philadelphia.
